Worship
Worship at Centennial is about gathering around God's promises for the world. Worship is a space to give thanks for all goodness, to retreat from evil, and to renew relationships with God and the world. Worship is not about us, worship is about what God does in, with, and for us. Worship here is liturgical--which does not mean worship is always traditional or always the same. This means we follow an outline of prayers, scripture reading, preaching, statements of faith, communion, song and blessing before we are sent into the world to witness and share good news. We are learning that different liturgies and songs help us understand our relationship with God and each other differently. We want to welcome all who worship here to experience God's grace. Communion is open to all.
Every 2-3 months our pastor, music director, pianist, and volunteer musician meet together to plan worship for the coming months. If you're interested in contributing ideas, singing in worship, joining the worship band, reading, ushering, or setting up communion, please call the church office or sign up on the whiteboard in the narthex.
