Education

Why Should I Go to Class?

Learning has always been a core practice in Lutheran faith.  From Martin Luther's translation of the bible into languages common people could understand, to the writing of the Catechisms for home use, to the many schools and universities bearing the Lutheran name, education is essential to who we are.
We do our best at CLC to offer classes for people of all ages and abilities.

Sunday School

From September-May our youngest members join Ms. Jackie, Ms. Linda, Mr. Bill, and Miss Karen for Sunday School (K-12).  We learn bible stories together through crafts, songs, discussion, and play.

Confirmation

It takes a community...
In 2015 we joined with Lutheran Church of the Master, Atonement, Holy Shepherd, Christ the King Lutheran Churches to offer a community-wide confirmation class for 6-8 graders.  We meet on Wednesdays (September-May) at 6 pm for dinner with class beginning at 6:30 pm.  Families are encouraged to join their student for dinner, class, and a lot of good fun.

Women's Bible Study

Every 2nd and 4th Monday of the month (at 2 pm) the women of the church meet together for bible study and discussion.  This is open to women of all ages.

Adult Education

Throughout the year we hold adult classes on special topics such as: Stewardship, Catechism, Bible, and World Religions.

September 18- October 30, 2016: We will discuss Life Together by Dietrich Bonhoeffer on Sundays after worship. Reading is optional, not necessary.  Contact the Pastor for more info!

Vacation Bible School

June 6-9, 2016 was a great celebration at CLC as we held Vacation Bible School for the first time in years.  With 15 students and 10 volunteers we learned four classic bible stories (Noah's Ark, David & Goliath, Jonah & the Big Fish, Daniel & the Lion's Den).  You can see photos on our Facebook wall and on our real wall in the Fellowship Hall.
Keep watch for next years dates and theme!
